Set up Test Users

Create test users in Keap to verify your membership levels are working correctly. Each membership level should have at least one test user.

Create a Test User

  1. Log into your Keap application
  2. Go to CRM > Contacts
  3. Click Add a Contact
  4. Enter first name, last name, and email address
  5. Click Save
  6. Click the Additional Info tab
  7. Enter a password for the test user
  8. Click Save

Repeat for each membership level you want to test.

Add Membership Tags

After creating a test user, assign the appropriate membership tag:

  1. Open the contact record
  2. Click the Tags tab
  3. Search for and select the membership tag (e.g., "Gold")
  4. Click Apply this Tag
  5. Click Save

Example assignments:

  • Free test user → "Free" tag
  • Silver test user → "Silver" tag
  • Gold test user → "Gold" tag
  • Platinum test user → "Platinum" tag
tip

For testing paid memberships, also create users with the PAYF tags (e.g., "GoldPAYF") to test payment-required access.
