Popup Maker Extension

Display targeted popups based on Keap contact tags.

Introduction

Popup Maker is a popular WordPress plugin for creating and displaying popups, modals, and other overlay content on your website.

The iMember360 Popup Maker Extension adds tag-based targeting conditions to Popup Maker, allowing you to show or hide popups based on a visitor's Keap contact tags.

About the Extension

The iMember360 Popup Maker Extension enables:

  • Tag-Based Targeting – Show popups only to contacts with specific tags.
  • Exclusion Rules – Hide popups from contacts with certain tags.
  • Dynamic Titles – Use iMember360 shortcodes in popup titles for personalization.

Activate Extension

Popup Maker must be installed and activated on your site before enabling the iMember360 Popup Maker Extension.

  1. In WordPress admin sidebar click iMember360 → Extensions.
  2. In iMember360 Extensions tabs click Popup Maker.
  3. Set Enable the Popup Maker extension to Yes.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Tag-Based Conditions

Once enabled, two new conditions appear in Popup Maker's targeting options under the "iMember360" group.

Has any Tag

Show the popup only if the visitor has at least one of the selected tags.

Select Tag(s)Choose one or more Keap tags. The popup displays if the contact has any of these tags.

Does not have any Tag

Show the popup only if the visitor has none of the selected tags.

How to Configure

  1. Go to Popup Maker → All Popups in WordPress admin.
  2. Edit an existing popup or create a new one.
  3. Scroll to Conditions in the popup settings.
  4. Click Add another condition group or Add another condition.
  5. Select iMember360 from the dropdown.
  6. Choose either Has any Tag or Does not have any Tag.
  7. Select the tags to check.
  8. Save the popup.

Membership Upsell

Show an upgrade offer to free members:

This displays the popup only to free members who haven't upgraded yet.

Welcome Back Popup

Welcome returning customers:

Dynamic Popup Titles

The extension also enables iMember360 shortcodes in popup titles. Use merge fields to personalize the popup:

Shortcodes in popup titles are processed automatically when the extension is enabled.

Best Practices

  1. Combine conditions – Use multiple conditions together for precise targeting.
  2. Test thoroughly – Preview popups as different user types to verify targeting works correctly.
  3. Don't overdo it – Too many popups can frustrate visitors; use tag targeting to show relevant content only.
